WBSS Women In Investing Series: Breaking The Mould

In celebration of International Women's Day this year, WBSS has invited two distinguished speakers to talk about their non-traditional paths in their respective fields.

Irene Lamsaki is the current Director of Transformation, Strategy and Performance in renowned travel technology company, Hotelbeds for the past 9 years. Prior to her current role, she worked as an engagement manager at McKinsey with past experience at SENER. Irene completed her master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering in the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, graduated with first class honours. She also earned an MBA at INSEAD and graduated in the Dean’s List

Lucía Méndez de la Maza is a private equity associate at Cinven. She joined Cinven in May-21 right after doing an MBA at London Business School. Prior to doing an MBA, she worked as a private equity analyst at Portobello Capital and, prior to that, as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. Alongside her work at Cinven, Lucia sits in the board of Restaurant Brand’s Iberia, a restaurant operator which holds the Master franchise for Burger King, Popeye’s, Tim Hortons brands in Spain and Portugal. She completed her bachelor’s degree of Business and Law at ICADE, Spain’s top university and graduated from an MBA at London Business School.
