About us
The Socials Department organises the biggest events at the University of Warwick, bringing together students from across the university. Throughout the academic year, we run a variety of events, from large-scale events to themed nights and rooftop events, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for students. The team is responsible for developing event concepts, working with venues and external partners, and coordinating the different aspects of each event. As part of a large team within WBSS, we work closely with the other departments to bring each event together, from the initial idea to the final event

Our Recent Projects

Last year, we organised Savannah Sunset, one of WBSS’s biggest events, with around 700 students attending. We wanted to make it different from previous years, so we introduced new entertainment and activities that had never been done by a society at Warwick before. We also organised the annual WBSS Ball, with around 150 students attending. The evening included dinner and entertainment, and took place at a beautiful venue in Warwickshire. Alongside our main events, we also organised a range of social events throughout the year, from themed nights to rooftop events and collaborations with other societies.
