About the Event
WBSS is glad to announce its first QIG speaker for term 3!
Join us on Wednesday, the 4th of May, where Doctor of Economics Juan Castaneda will be providing his insights on the relationship between the quantity of money and nominal income.Â
Some background information:
Juan Castaneda is a Doctor of Economics since 2003 and has experience working and researching monetary policy and central banking.
He has worked with the European Parliament's Committee of Economic and Monetary Affairs in the so-called "monetary dialogue with the European Central Bank" and has submitted written evidence for the UK Parliament report on the euro.Â
In May 2020, Castaneda and his team correctly forecasted the current inflation upturn in Western Economies, conversely to central banks suggesting a "threat of deflation" following the outbreak of COVID-19.Â
