About us

The Corporate Department connects WBSS members with the professional world. We run the society's careers-focused events, including speaker sessions and fireside chats with industry professionals, panels with Warwick alumni, case competitions and networking evenings, across finance, consulting and more niche corporate sectors. Our goal is to bridge the gap between Warwick students and the corporate world, helping members understand the industries they want to enter and giving them practical guidance and direct access to the people working in them.

Our Recent Projects

Our main project this year is a conference in London focused on the luxury industry, bringing together professionals from the worlds of art, watchmaking and fashion design. The idea came from noticing that when students think about the corporate world, they tend to think only of finance and consulting, which dominate most careers events at Warwick. Yet there is a whole side of business that is just as dynamic and far less visible: brand strategy, auctions and art advisory, luxury retail and creative direction. Through this conference, we want to show members that these paths exist, give them a first-hand look at how these businesses actually work, and connect them with the people building careers in them

Interested in applying to the Corporate
department?

We're looking for recruits for the upcoming academic year. Join the team behind WBSS, apply now.

We're looking for motivated people with a real passion for what they do, who bring good energy to the team. Individual talent matters, but what matters more is how you use it: we want team players, not solo performers, people who take pride in the department's success rather than their own spotlight. The ideal candidate brings initiative, is happy to take on whatever the team needs, and helps everyone around them do their best work. If you care more about making the team shine than standing out on your own, we would love to hear from you.
